WELCOME

First, I give all the glory to God for allowing me to come out of my comfort zone to be placed in a Christian school that is tailor-made by God. I thank Him for the opportunity to be a part of the Body of Christ that is uniquely designed by His hands.

Cecelia Dixon, Director
The Holy Spirit has inspired me to teach children with justice, humility, mercy and love. I thank God for Pastor Rush and the vision He has given him concerning the children and their education. The Mary L. Rush Children's College is based on the word of God, which has allowed us to travel in dimensions of Early Childhood Education that is outside of the box.

As the Director, I care for our children for lifetime, not for a day! I am excited and expecting this to be one of the greatest years of our lives in the Children's "College".

Blessed of God,
Cecelia Dixon, Director

Admissions
Mary L. Rush Children's "College" is licensed by the state in which we operate. We are inspected regularly by the state and health, safety and other state requirements. We are an equal opportunity provider. We accept applications for admission and employment without regard to race, religion, gender, national origin, color, creed, physical or mental disability or any other protected status.

Mission Statement
To inspire learning, both spiritually and educationally, in order to develop the whole child; training teachers to meet the developmental and educational needs of children.

Philosophy
We believe the first years of childhood are the most important in development and learning. We are not considered a day care because we care for your children for life. We believe God is the source of all truth and that education should have Jesus Christ as its foundation. We believe children should be taught respect and submission to delegated authority and that disrespect and rebellion should be dealt with swiftly and firmly according to state laws.

Curriculum
We utilize the Abeka Curriculum in our school. Our programs are designed to help children reach their fullest potential. Our curriculum provides lessons that help develop the whole child: physically, spiritually, intellectually, emotionally and socially.

Curriculum consists of the following subjects: Bible, Classroom Habits, Skill Development, Phonics and Reading, Cursive Writing, Numbers, Activity Time, Language Development Poetry, Music & Recess.

Infant (6 Weeks to 12 Months)

Infants six weeks to twelve months of age are cared for and nurtured by professional staff in their own private and professional environment filled with color and stimulation to meet the needs of their development.

Waddler (12 months to 17 months)
Waddlers range from twelve to seventeen months of age. This program has been designed to develop a sense of awareness in the area of color, sound, phonics, numbers, textures and feelings. The curriculum prepares the Waddlers towards their first step of independence before entering into the toddler program.

Toddler (18 months to 2 Years)
Our Toddlers learn to explore and develop new abilities.

3-Year Olds
The 3-year olds begin to experience the joy of self-expression in the areas of music, phonics, numbers, arts & crafts, movement, story time, cooking & organized games in supervised play.

4-Year Olds
The 4-year olds begin to experience the joy of reading, cursive writing, phonics, alphabet, name recognition, drama, cooking & numbers. They learn the concepts such as same vs. different. We encourage your child to make choices and become more independent.

5-Year olds
The 5-year olds begin to experience the joy of reading, cursive writing, phonics, science, social studies, numbers, addition and subtraction, music, art and drama. They can experience a learning program that will stimulate their interests for expanding social and language skills.
