The Vision Of God Begins…
The Dallas Inspirational Choir founded May 1980 by Evangelist Rickie G. Rush. A phenomenal community choir of 150 people begins that is unknowingly the springboard for things to come! D.I.C.'s era ends in 1988 as The Inspiring  Body of Christ Church is being birthed by God.
IBOC founded and organized by Pastor Rickie G. Rush in the summer of 1990 along with 9 others. Official organizational meeting held September 22, 1990 at Singing Hills Funeral Home where 63 charter members join the vision. First church service held Sunday, October 7, 1990.
Membership grew to over 450 members in only six months of existence. Praises to God!
The Foundation of the Vision…
 Blessed to purchase first building, the former Southern Bible Institute, Easter 1991. October 1991, membership grew to 700. Our version of Sunday School is instituted - MONDAY SCHOOL.
Quickly grew into utilizing overflow rooms, moving from 2 to 3 and then 4 morning services. Radio ministry implemented in 1995 to get more of God's Word out.
The men of IBOC experienced a move of God April, 1996. Since referred to as "The Foundation". Spiritual enrichment fellowships, for men, now held each Friday night. Additionally, technology of the Internet is utilized to further send out God's Word. Membership by October, 1999 hits 4,000.
A More Focused Vision…
 God wrought a financial miracle and IBOC relocated October 3, 1999 to its present $6 million, 176,000 square foot campus in Dallas, Texas.
Since October of 1999, more souls have continued to be poured into the ministry by God. Presently, the membership has increased to 15,000+. IBOC is still a "great big, little church filled with love".
To enhance fellowship and fun throughout the years, IBOC members spend time together attending "Back To School" picnics and "Joy" walks. Rapid growth continues because of the Holy Spirit adding to the church daily (Acts 16:5).
The Vision Carried On…
The IBOC ministry is developing the next generation to be Christ-centered servant leaders. It is our aim to train our youth and teens to be men and women of God's Word.
January 2000 brought a new dimension of ministry - The IBOC Children's College. This school is designed for those 0-5 years of age. Additionally, August, 2001 brought into fruition the IBOC Christian Academy for grades 1 through 4. This is a life-long dream for Dr. Rush. We care about the future generation's education - spiritually and naturally. We praise God for His mighty blessings upon our Pastor and ministry as a whole.
