"I was born with respiratory problems. My childhood was plagued with asthma. I was not able to do the simple fun things that children do. My teen years were a little better. By my first year of college, my health seemed to be declining again. I had to have part of my right lung removed. From age 20 to about age 30, every two to three months, I was in the hospital for asthma/pneumonia.
For years, I would find myself in prayer lines for healing but it was not happening. I was like an addict with my inhaler; I had one everywhere I went. When I reached age 30, the hospitalizations were fewer but I was still in very poor health. I had no energy, no stamina but worst of all, I had no JOY! I am a charter member of IBOC. Pastor Rush had a gift of breaking down GOD'S word so that even children can understand. When we would have bible study (Monday School), I finally started really understanding GOD'S word and GOD's plan for my life. Pastor did a series on healing and how to stand on GOD'S word.
I was so happy to know that I didn't have to be sick. I started telling everyone. Satan attacked me with a severe asthma attack early on Easter Sunday 1994. I was on life support. The doctors suspected I was brain dead from lack of oxygen. I remained in a coma with a lung that had collapsed (pneumothorax), subcutaneous emphysema, encephalopothy and the list goes on. Through massive prayers from my immediate family and my entire church family, just standing on GOD'S word and not allowing Satan to kill me, I came out of the coma. I now have not had an asthma attack in five years…PRAISE GOD!!! I thank GOD for the manifestation of my healing. I now have a renewed mind and I have my JOY BACK. THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"I started using drugs at age fourteen and for the next twenty years marijuana and alcohol. For ten of those years, cocaine controlled my life. I had no vision or goals to succeed. My only concern was where my next high was coming from.
In January 1992, after being up for three days without sleep or going to work, I sat in my bedroom and began crying. I was tired of who I was. The Lord gave me a choice, which was to stay where I was or follow Him for an abundant life. I joined the IBOC ministry the summer of 1993 and have been a faithful member since.
The teachings of the ministry have blessed me to reunite with my father and totally forgive him for not being around while I was growing up. It is still a slow process but we've become the best of friends and this has created more "father and son bonding". This ministry is also teaching me how to be not just a man but "God's Man". To God Be All The Glory!"

"I know MY REDEEMER LIVES. God has truly brought me a mighty long way. Regarding my spiritual life, I became a believer in Jesus Christ when I was a young child. I did not fully understand the power of the anointing and Holy Spirit, though, until recently. I could quote scriptures verse by verse but had no understanding. I now know the Holy Spirit resides in me and He is my Guide, Instructor and Comforter.
I was in a "winter season" for approximately five years in many areas of my life. During this season, I was fired from two jobs after a 20-year career, but THANKS BE TO GOD I currently work in the travel industry. I am even planning to pursue an advanced degree.
My family life has been challenged as well. My mother was diagnosed with cancer, never experiencing tough sicknesses ever before. I am happy to say she is healed and recovered! My dad was hospitalized with a serious illness and was about to be placed on life support but I said "NO". My dad is healed and recovered and now living in a phenomenal nursing home. My marriage of 15 years was on the brink of divorce but THANKS BE TO GOD… we are now celebrating 20 years of marriage. I have personally been delivered from depression and am grateful to say I have been off of anti-depressant medications for 3 years now.
As you can see, God has truly showered me with many blessings that I cannot count them all. Take all your situations to God in prayer and leave it there. HE WILL work it out for you in "due season". TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!!!!!"
